Comfortable and homely, the traditional stone farmhouse has a large open plan living/dining room with an extending dining table, comfortable seating, and a piano; suitable for small workshops as well as just relaxing. There is a wood fired Rayburn stove which runs the central heating in winter. There are lots of books, a chess set and other games, and WiFi. The kitchen has an electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. (A washing machine is available for guests’ use in the barn.) French windows open onto a part-roofed south facing terrace with barbecue, and a large lawned garden with cherry and birch trees. There are two firepits, one in the garden and another at the top of the valley.
The upstairs accommodation is as follows:
First floor –
Bedroom 1 with double bed,
Bedroom 2 with double bed and pair of bunk beds. Both these rooms have large windows overlooking garden, farm and countryside.
Bedroom 3 with one single bed and a floor mattress, with views of the garden, yurt and paddocks.
Bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, plus a second separate toilet cubicle.
Second floor –
Bedroom 3 with two single beds and a floor mattress. Views to the east over garden and fields.
Bedroom 4 – a dormitory with one single, two pairs of bunk beds, and extra double and single mattresses which can be used on the floor. Roof windows give lovely, far reaching views to the north and south.
